One big point of difference that sets Adelaide’s Finest apart from other supermarkets is the team of chefs who bring their enthusiasm and experience to Mr Nick’s.
One of our kitchen stars is chef Gustavo “Gus” Schafer who has created the popular menus at Mr Nick’s Frewville.
Gus hails from Brazil where he graduated with an environmental engineering degree before moving to Australia at age 22. The move to Adelaide opened a bright new career door for Gus who had always loved cooking in Brazil for friends of 10, 20 and then 40 people. Once in SA, Gus decided cooking was something he wanted to take more seriously.
“I’m really thankful for everything I have learnt here, I learn every day, and I have been given the freedom to try everything. We are achieving good things here – it’s just the beginning- and it’s because we have such a good team driving things forward,” he says.
