Store Visit
Last Friday at Pasadena Foodland we welcomed a visit from Hon David Pisoni MP, Minister for Innovation and Skills.
The visit showcased how the Chapley family’s 70 years of retail and hospitality excellence has led to job creation, the nurturing of trades, and skills development for South Australians. The Minister witnessed our teams of bakers, butchers, florists, chefs, fishmongers and sashimi chefs at work and we discussed further developing the team through apprenticeships.

We currently employ more than 1,000 South Australians across our Frewville, Pasadena and Munno Para stores including Zoey (pictured with The Minister) who at just 22 years of age set up and now runs our team of eight trained pâtissiers in our Flowerbar Patisserie open kitchen – a world’s first for a supermarket where customers can watch the amazing team produce their incredible creations every day.

The Minister also met Harmeet who runs our online team of in-store pickers using proprietary technology developed in-house since we first started our online delivery business in 2006.
