Organic Plums & Berries

Our organic produce teams at Frewville and Pasadena say a growing number of people are showing an interest in the provenance of their food and putting more organic produce into their shopping baskets every week.

Organics coordinator Jonathan Parini from Frewville Foodland says customers want to know where their food comes from, who grew it, how it was grown and how it reached them. 

Jonathan (pictured with Gurmeet) highlights two organic fruit lines which are tasting great right now.

Look out for flavour-packed, juicy mixed plums which are grown locally at Biopark, a certified organic market garden and orchard at Mt Barker run by Nick Hancock. 

Jonathan also recommends the intensely-flavoured blueberries from Dazzler Range Organics, a small organic farm specialising in blueberries in York Town, Tasmania. 

“They’re grown without any chemicals so actually taste like blueberries should and they’re clean and green,”  he says.
