Choose locally-grown blooms

Adelaide’s Finest is proud of its long-term relationship with local flower growers including the Maiolo family from Two Wells

A cheerful arrangement of sunflowers is the quickest way to put a smile on someone’s face.

Brighten Mum’s special day with a bunch of locally-grown sunflowers which we source directly from our valued fresh-cut flower supplier, M&B Flowers at Two Wells.

M&B is run by husband-and-wife team Frank and Anna Maiolo who grow and supply Adelaide’s Finest with freshly-cut sunflowers, stocks, snapdragons, chrysanthemums, ornamental kale and carnations among other seasonal flowers.

Frank, an experienced horticulturalist, and Anna, a qualified florist, started their business in the 1988 and are long-term suppliers of beautiful blooms to Flowerbar at Frewville and Pasadena.

The family-owned business has eight acres of land for growing flowers under cover.  Frank and his team do everything manually which begins with hand planting seedlings every 10 days to picking the blooms by hand when fully grown.

Visit Flowerbar Pasadena or Frewville and say thanks to the mum – or mother figure- in your life with some fresh, local, brightly-coloured flowers grown with love by Frank and Anna at Two Wells!

Sunflower tip: Swap your scouring pad for a dried sunflower head! The dry flower heads are sturdy and make a sustainable alternative to the usual scrubbing pads. After drying out your sunflower heads, use them to scrub your pots and pans!
