Origin of the Seafood Species

Although Buy SA Week has concluded, our support for local producers, suppliers, farmers and fishers is ingrained in what we do all year round.

As passionate seafood lovers, knowing where our seafood comes from – and who caught it – is always important to us at Adelaide’s Finest. Our seafood managers Gus and Cara are constantly on the phone chatting directly to fishers (often in the middle of the night) and are down at the seafood market in the early hours almost every morning sourcing the freshest and best seafood.

What you see on display varies constantly and depends completely on all the variables that go with fishing. However, our direct relationships mean we keep a supply of the best catch from around the country, so you’ll always find the finest, freshest seafood in stock.

Our fishmongers update labels so you can easily identify species and provenance, but what you see today may not be there tomorrow as it depends completely on what the catch is like when boats come in!
