Christmas Leftovers Hand Pies by Patricia from the SA CWA (Stirling and districts branch)
Ingredients
300g roast turkey, cut into chunks
300g leg ham, cut into chunks
2/3 cup of your favourite chutney
1 egg, beaten
4 sheets of puff pastry
Sesame seeds (optional)
Method
- Mince the chopped meats together in food processor until it is minced but still with texture.
- Place in bowl and fold in chutney until mixture is sticky but not sloppy.
- Cut pastry sheets into four squares. Place a generous heaped spoon of mixture into middle of each square, fold corner to corner to form triangle and press edges firmly to form a seal.
- Brush top of each pastry with egg and sprinkle with seeds Bake in 200 degree oven for 12 minutes or until golden Remove and cool.
